As the Director of Information Technology for the Letters and Science Information Technology Unit at UC Davis, I am responsible for setting strategic direction of the service center in meeting the research, teaching, and public service missions of the departments, programs and centers we support. Along with my awesome team of 21 career staff members and more than 20 student staff members, we deliver service desk, desktop support, systems administration, and application development services to our clients. I partner with the Dean's Office, cluster managers, faculty, staff and graduate students to ensure that the IT and supporting services that we deliver serve those shared missions. I also work with many partner organizations in the IT ecosystems across UC Davis and the UC system to identify and leverage strategic opportunities that benefit both the local and shared missions of the University of California.
